Re. Appointment of Lead Co-ordinator for Whitby District NHW Association
Dear NHW Member
You will be aware that for over a year there has been no elected Lead Co-ordinator for the Whitby District NHW Association as no individual has been willing to take on the role. This is most unsatisfactory as NHW Associations need someone to take responsibility for the activity and actions of local watches, co-ordinators and members, provide advice and guidance and liaise with the local police. It is impractical for other officers to provide that support remotely from 30 miles away! Fortunately one of your fellow co-ordinators, Hazel Hickman from Hinderwell has volunteered to take on the role until a public meeting can be held to formalise an appointment later this year either post lock-down or virtually.
Hazel has been very active within her own watch area especially by utilising Facebook and other social media and setting the benchmark across our association and I am sure that Hazel will give you an opportunity to meet up with her virtually in the near future! Hazel sets a high standard re. social media use for information sharing!... watch this space some members call Hazel our own Digital Lead Co-ordinator!
I will leave Steve Law, RSWF Association Administrator to offer us procedural advice and guidance on Hazel’s appointment but if any member has any comments or concerns to raise we will be happy to consider them.
I would like to thank Hazel for taking on the role and welcome her to the RSWF Association Team
