Annual General Meeting
Monday 5 February 2018 at 5.00pm

1. Welcome and introductions
Chairman Terry Wallis welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Terry Wallis, Steve Law, Peter French, Simone Wilkinson, Alan Jeffels, Robert Lee, Paul Lewis, Paul Griffiths, Dorothy Morrison, Caroline Richman, Rachel Eltringham, Chris Unsworth.

2. Minutes of previous AGM 06 Feb. 2017
The Chair Terry Wallis spoke about the inaugural meeting minutes.
There was a discussion regarding Smartwater.
Small quantities cannot be ordered and the product is expensive. The Police are moving towards UV pens, the Internet site Immobilise and Dot Peen Marking (also known as Dot Marking, micropercussion and indent marking for metal marking and some plastic marking for name plate and other components.)
The minutes were proposed as a true record by Peter French and seconded by Steve Law
3. RSWF NYNHWA Chair Report
Terry Wallis presented a comprehensive report which included information about our website, statistics regarding the Community Messaging Service, The Neighbourhood Watch Network, recruiting younger members to NHW and our Business Plan.
The report was unanimously approved.

4. Treasurers report
Mr John Tomlinson was unanimously approved as the Auditor for the RSWF financial accounts.
The balance in the account is £48.03

5. Election of Officers to RSWF NHWA
The NHW Administrator and Police Administrator Posts are non-executive.
A motion by Terry Wallis to defer the Officer post of Secretary was unanimously approved.
Steve Law will include the post duties within his non-elected role as Administrator.
The nominees for posts were:
Chair – Terry Wallis
Vice Chair – Martin Whelan
Treasurer – Steve Law
The three nominees were appointed unopposed. All three have accepted their Officer positions.

7. Guest Speaker
Simone Wilkinson, Area Prevention Manager and Filey Prevention Team,
along with Rachel Eltringham.
Simone gave a very interesting presentation about her work with young people and families.

8. Police Report
Sandra Rees was unable to attend and sent her apologies.
9. Questions and answers
These had been dealt with throughout the meeting and there were no other queries.
10. Any Other Business
Peter French had three items.
a) Peter informed the meeting that he believed the County NHW Association NY NHWA was to be disbanded due to lack of enthusiasm
b) Ryedale NHW AGM will be on the 20th March at Ryedale Council Offices
c) Peter attended the Ryedale Equalities Prevent Forum and invited other members to attend.
Terry Thanked Simone Wilkinson and Rachel Eltringham, for their presentation to the meeting and PCSOs Caroline Richman & Chris Unsworth for facilitating and contributing to the meeting.

Late September 2018.
